Stud earrings made from naturally dyed and handwoven henequen (sisal) fibers. The coins are mounted to antique brass decorative flange base.  About 1.25" in diameter
 
The woven coins are made using handloomed remnants from fabrics woven by Mayan artisan weavers on a backstrap loom near Merida, Mexico using natural fibers endemic to the Yucatan region.  10% of proceeds from every sale go back to artisan communities to preserve traditional handcraft techniques used in the making of this item.
